Thomas Ender, before 1875
Thomas Ender painted Ischia with a view of the Aragonese Castle from the shore. The fortress stands on its rocky islet off the island, framed by tall pines under an Italian sky. Ender visited Italy and the Adriatic on Habsburg commissions.
