Wilhelm Camphausen, 1859
In 1859 Wilhelm Camphausen painted Field Marshal Blücher and the Army of Silesia crossing the Rhine at Kaub on 1 January 1814. Troops, horses and cannon fill the snowy bank, with Burg Gutenfels above and the Pfalzgrafenstein toll castle in the river behind. The painting is in the Mittelrhein-Museum in Koblenz.
