Eduard Gehbe, before 1920
Eduard Gehbe painted Hohensalzburg Fortress and Nonnberg Abbey from Freisaal. The fortress fills the hill above Salzburg under an autumn sky, with trees framing the approach. Gehbe signed the daylight view of the city's defining citadel.
