Sommeridylle (Idyllic Summer Scene)
Walter Moras, Undated
Spring blossoms and tall poplars line a quiet Spreewald stream where geese drift past a red-roofed farmhouse. Berlin landscape painter Walter Moras (1856–1925) was known for scenes of the Spreewald through the seasons. The oil on canvas, 80 × 120 cm, was sold at the Dorotheum in Vienna in December 2013.
