Maple Trees at Mama, Tekona Shrine and Linked Bridge
Utagawa Hiroshige, 1857
From Hiroshige's series One Hundred Famous Views of Edo, published in 1857. Red maple leaves hang across the top of the print, framing the Tekona Shrine and a plank bridge over the marsh at Mama. Mama, east of Edo, was a popular place for viewing autumn leaves. This impression is in the Library of Congress.
