Gloucester Cathedral
Photochrom Print Collection, 1890
This view shows Gloucester Cathedral and its tall fifteenth-century tower. The cathedral was founded as an abbey church in the eleventh century. It was made as a photochrom, a process that turned a black-and-white negative into a colour print. The print is in the Library of Congress.
