Canterbury Cathedral from the Northwest
Photochrom Print Collection, 1890
This view shows Canterbury Cathedral from the northwest, with its great central tower, Bell Harry. Canterbury is the mother church of the Church of England. It was made as a photochrom, a process that turned a black-and-white negative into a colour print. The print is in the Library of Congress.
