Samuel Walters, 19th century
Samuel Walters painted the transatlantic packet Palestine in full sail, flying the American flag and the house flag of the Black Cross Line. Crew work in the bow, and a coastline shows far off to the left. The painting is in Royal Museums Greenwich.
