NB-36H with a B-50 Chase Plane

The Convair NB-36H Peacemaker experimental aircraft flies with a Boeing B-50 Superfortress chase plane near the Convair plant at Fort Worth, Texas, in 1955. The NB-36H began as a B-36H damaged by a tornado at Carswell Air Force Base in 1952. It was modified to carry a three-megawatt, air-cooled nuclear reactor in its bomb bay as the Nuclear Test Aircraft.
