Earth from space, framed photographs

William Anders took Earthrise on December 24, 1968, as Apollo 8 came around the Moon on the first crewed flight to leave Earth orbit.

The rest follow from there: the whole Earth from Apollo crews on the way to and from the Moon, the Galileo probe looking back as it swung past in 1990, the 2012 Blue Marble and Black Marble composites, auroras and city lights photographed from the International Space Station, and the Artemis II crew's views of Earth from their flight around the Moon.

Round-Earth pictures are close to square, so they suit a single frame on a narrow wall or a pair side by side.

31 works in this collection, dated 1965 to 2026. Most represented: NASA (9), NASA / Don Pettit (6), and NASA / Artemis II crew (3). Sources include NASA Image and Video Library, NASA, and NASA Johnson Space Center.
