Space Shuttle photographs, framed

NASA flew the Space Shuttle for thirty years, from Columbia's first launch on April 12, 1981 to Atlantis's last landing in July 2011. Five orbiters went to space: Columbia, Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis and Endeavour.

These are NASA's own photographs: STS-1 climbing past the tower, launches shot from T-38 chase planes, night launches and floodlit pads at Kennedy's Launch Complex 39, rollouts and the Vehicle Assembly Building, Bruce McCandless flying free on the first untethered spacewalk, and orbiters docked at Mir and the International Space Station.

Launch photos are tall and orbit views are wide or square, so each one is printed at its true shape, nothing cropped or stretched, and arrives framed and ready to hang. The largest files hold up at 36 inches on the long side.

42 works in this collection, dated 1981 to 2011. Most represented: NASA (33), NASA / Bill Ingalls (2), and NASA / Expedition 28 crew (2). Sources include NASA Image and Video Library and NASA.
