A painter in the circle of Karl Kaufmann painted the dome of San Simeone Piccolo and the bell tower of San Geremia over the Grand Canal. Kaufmann was an Austrian painter who turned out many sunny views of Venice for travelers. Boats and gondolas work the busy canal below.
