Plate 31 of John James Audubon's The Birds of America, engraved by Robert Havell in London. It shows an adult Bald Eagle, which Audubon called the White-headed Eagle, feeding on a catfish. The Birds of America printed every bird at life size on double elephant folio sheets. This copy belongs to the University of Pittsburgh.
